이번 대회는 대구광역시와 경상북도가 공동 주최하고 한국장애경제인협회 대구·경북지회가 주관했으며, 장애경제인의 성취를 조명하고 지역 산업계·공공기관과의 연대를 통해 지속 가능한 경제 생태계 구축 기반을 마련했다.

이날 행사에는 이재화 대구시의회 부의장, 이태훈 대구 달서구청장, 박기환 대구시 경제국장, 곽은희 경상북도 경제통상진흥원 기업지원과장 등 주요 인사와 지역 산업·언론·의료계 관계자들이 참석해 장애인기업의 성장 지원에 한목소리를 냈다. 협회 측에서는 이경선 중앙회장과 황귀주 부회장, 고동일 이사, 조만식 감사 등이 자리했다.

행사는 장애인예술인의 공연 후 개회선언 및 내빈 소개 순으로 진행됐으며, 주요 인사의 축사에서 장애인기업을 ‘복지 대상’이 아닌 지역경제의 주체로 바라봐야 한다는 인식이 강조됐다.

이경선 한국장애경제인협회 대구·경북지회 회장은 “장애는 한계가 아니다”라며 “도전하는 장애경제인이 지역의 미래를 만들어 갈 수 있도록 든든한 지원자가 되겠다”고 밝혔다.

박기환 대구시 경제국장은 “공정 경쟁과 자립을 돕는 행정·경제 지원을 강화하겠다”고 했으며, 이재화 부의장은 “의회도 정책적 동반자가 되겠다”고 약속했다.

이태훈 달서구청장은 “장애인기업의 경쟁력 강화가 지역경제 도약으로 이어진다”고 강조했고, 경상북도 경제통상진흥원은 판로 확보 등 실효적 지원책 확대를 예고했다.

본 행사에서는 장애 인재를 위한 장학금 전달과 함께 모범적인 장애인기업을 대상으로 표창이 수여됐다. 대구광역시장상은 ㈜성실(대표 박동일)이, 경상북도지사상은 울릉허브(대표 오주식)와 베베르(대표 박재민)가 받았다. 이 외에도 중소벤처기업부·지방의회·국회의원·협회장 표창 등이 이어졌다.

올해 대회의 핵심 의제는 장애인기업의 판로 활성화였다. 행사에서는 장애인기업 전용 유통 플랫폼 ‘우리몰(wemall.kr)’이 소개돼 주목을 받았다.

우리몰은 대구 도시철도 2호선 성서산단역 지하 1층에 위치한 오프라인 판매장과 온라인 쇼핑몰을 연계한 통합 유통 플랫폼으로, 입점료 전액 무료, 판매대행, 홍보·배송 지원, 소자본 창업 지원 등 다양한 서비스를 제공한다. 온라인 플랫폼은 네이버 광고·촬영·상세페이지 제작·매출 컨설팅 등 디지털 마케팅 지원을 통해 장애인기업의 안정적인 매출 기반 구축을 목표로 한다.

이번 대회는 장애인기업 지원 방식이 단기 보조금 중심에서 지속 가능한 수익 구조 구축 중심으로 전환되고 있다는 점에서 의미가 크다는 평가다. 특히 공공기관이 운영을 지원하고 협회가 전문적으로 관리하는 우리몰 시스템이 장애기업의 경쟁력을 높이는 실질적 대안으로 관심을 모았다.

Woori Mall, located on the basement level of Seongseo Industrial Complex Station on Daegu Subway Line 2, is an integrated distribution platform that links an offline store with an online shopping mall. It offers a variety of services, including 100% free store opening fees, sales agency support, promotional and delivery support, and support for small business start-ups. The online platform aims to build a stable revenue base for businesses run by individuals with disabilities through digital marketing support, including Naver advertising, photography, detailed page creation, and sales consulting.

This competition is considered significant in that it marks a shift in support for businesses run by people with disabilities from short-term subsidies to building sustainable profit structures.
